Therapeutic cupping is a specialised treatment tool that our Remedial Massage Therapist's will apply during this special 1 hour integrated massage session. Cupping is a painless technique used to draw out toxins in the body, reduce muscle hypertonicity and activate the lymphatic system, to promote blood circulation, deep tissue repair and healing.

Practitioners will assess which areas of the body are showing tight and/or tender muscles, and which acupuncture points are causing pain, tension or stiffness. Glass cup/s will then be placed on the muscles in and around the affected area, to create a gentle suction and traction sensation. Cups may also be heated and used with oil, to create a warming friction massage for deeper muscle release.

Our cupping technique has a greater emphasis on large muscle area release, due to the ease with which it is performed on the whole spine or back in one session. It is extreamley effective where pain is deeper than the tissues being pulled. View less
